  Laughing Tyson said “I'm very sure. Can I fix you a drink Trendi?”Tyson asked.

  Outside in the parking lot Sherica had just circled around for the second time and finally found a parking spot. Out of nowhere a blue Mercedes pulled in and took the spot. Out jumped a good looking 6'2 caramel skinned cutie who had the nerve to wave at her knowing damn well he'd seen her waiting to pull into the parking spot he'd just taken.

  Sherica quickly gave him the finger and shouted “ ASSHOLE !” out of her car window.

  After another drive around the parking lot, Sherica found a spot and parked. As nice as these apartments are you would think they would have better parking! Sherica thought walking into Jazzlyns building and jumping on the elevator. Sherica knocked on the door. A minute later the door was opened by the same guy in the parking lot who had taken her spot. “ Asshole. You know you cut me off in the parking lot you punk bitch!” Sherica said pushing her way past him and into Jazzlyns apartment.

  “ Wel Damn!” Sherica said when she spotted who could be none other than Tyson standing in the kitchen. Tyson turned around and smiled “ Hel o, I'm sorry if I get your name wrong, I'm trying to keep track of everyone I've been meeting through Jazzlyn.

  Are you Sherica ?” Tyson asked walking towards her extending his hand.

  “ She's in the room finishing getting ready with her home girl Trendi.” Tyson said laughing “ Go on back.” . Tyson said.

  Sherica opened the door to Jazzlyn's bedroom calling out “ I'm here bitches!” All three ladies burst out laughing and jumped up to hug and greet one another.

  “ Trendi ! You's a bad bitch girl! You're working the hel out of that blonde hair! How long have you been a blonde?” Sherica asked.

  “ Tyson man who the hel is the tranny in the wig man? Jevon said laughing.

  Jazzlyn,Sherica and Trendi walked back into the living room. Tyson asked everyone if they needed their drinks refreshed and they all sat around talking for awhile “ You guys at this point I think all the introductions have been made, I really wanted to thank everyone of you for coming. We may have a few others dropping in but I real y wanted to thank you guys. Sherica and Trendi, it means the world to me for you guys to come through because all of us here know what's gone on lately with Trevonne and Darien.

  So it makes me feel good to know our friendships aren't dependent on them. ” Jazzlyn said jumping up to give Sherica and Trendi quick hugs.

  “Also, you already know I had to introduce everyone to my new man.” Jazzlyn said winking.

  “ I know one thing” Trendi said “ You better be good to my girl Jazzlyn” Trendi said to Tyson giving him the side eye and a smile.

  “ OK everyone, dinner is served. Buffet style of course. Everyone help yourself, eat as much as you like and anyone who drifts in can help themselves as they show up!”Jazzlyn said. Everyone gathered throughout the dining area making plates and laughing and talking when Jazzlyn heard the door bell ring. Jazzlyn opened the door and saw two women standing there.

  “ Brianna and you must be Nicole! Come on in” Jazzlyn said waving them both inside. “ I'm so glad you were able to come. Especial y you Brianna, you already know your brother never said a word to me right ? So that night we were over here getting into it about when I saw you two earlier at the store.” Jazzlyn said.

  “ Girl say no more about it. I was laughing about it because the same day Tyson was just telling us how he'd met someone special.” Brianna said.

  “ We got a good laugh out of it.” Nicole said “ It's happened before. I told Brianna she got off easy because one of these lil girls came up to my job once thinking I was messing with Tyson!” All three ladies fel out laughing.

  “ Wel you guys come on in. We were just getting started eating.” Jazzlyn said “ Oh girl we just came through real fast to say hel o. We know you're over here coupled up but we were on our way to the movies so we'll only be here a few minutes.” Nicole said as they entered the dining room area.

  “ Hey y'all” Tyson said standing up to greet his two sisters with a hug and a kiss.

  Tyson introduced his sisters to Sherica and Trendi and of course Nicole and Brianna joked around with Jevon who they grew up with.

  “ I'l be right back Jazzlyn, I'm going to call Marcus and see what's keeping him” Trendi said. Trendi walked into the hallway and cal ed Marcus on her cell phone “ Marcus where are you?” Trendi asked when Marcus picked up.” We're already eating dinner. You should have been here.” Trendi scolded.

  “ You already know I don't like being in front of a lot of damn people Trendi. Hurry up and come home.” Marcus said.

  “ What do you mean? I've been saying I wanted you to meet some of my friends for the longest and this was the perfect time. You promised you'd come Marcus, now you're backing out at the last minute and have me here looking stupid and dateless ? What has gotten into you lately Marcus? You are going Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on me all of a sudden and I real y don't like it. I'm going to be here for awhile so leave if you want to.

  I'm not going to ruin my night arguing with your ass.” Trendi said pushing end and walking back to the party.

  “ Is everything OK Trendi ?” Jazzlyn asked.

  “ Girl it's fine. Marcus isn't going to be able to make it though.”Trendi said trying to hide her disappointment.” No matter though, I'm here to enjoy myself and girl I think Tyson is really nice! Find out where his sister Nicole got those shoes too! I'm loving them!” Trendi said.

  “ I will” Jazzlyn said laughing.

  One Is the Loneliest Number

  Trevonne sat around bored to death. I'm bored as hel . Where is Sherica? She was supposed to call me back . I miss the hel out of Darien,I wonder why I haven't heard anything back from him. I thought for sure my telling him Jazzlyn had been cheating with Tyson would have sent him over here and it's been a week since we've spoken.

  What the hell have I done to myself ? I miss Jazzlyn too she thought . I never realized just how short my friend list was until now. Everyone else I talk to are only associates not real friends. Let me cal this girl again Trevonne said aloud dialing Sherica”s number.

  “ Sherica,heffa you never called me back” Trevonne said when Sherica picked up.

  “ Girl I'm sorry I got caught up this afternoon then I had to get ready to go to Jazzlyns dinner party!I just ran to the bathroom to take this call real fast because I knew I'd forgotten to call you back.”Sherica said.

  “ Oh Jazzlyns having a get together?” Trevonne asked. “Yes girl, you know we al wanted to meet the new boo. So she and Tyson had some of their mutual friends over so we could al meet each other. Trendi got her crazy ass over here too. Anyways girl let me give you a call tomorrow. I don't want to be rude.”Sherica said.

  “ OK,I'll talk to you then”Trevonne said.

  “ What the hel you want Tre?” Darien said on the third ring. “ Hello to you too Darien.

  I was just calling to see how you were? I haven't heard from you in a week. What have you been up to?” Trevonne asked.

  “ Why?What's the deal? You must miss this dick huh? Trevonne you kill me with this shit. What don't you get about the fact I've
told you time and again if I never get back together with Jazzlyn I wouldn't want you? You've always made more out of me fuckin you than there ever was.” Darien said laughing “ I mean we can speak but I see I have to get gangsta with your ass. Play your position. You will always be jump - off status to me. Period. You stil wanna to talk to me now?”Darien asked.

  “ Darien fuck you! You aint shit you know that? Regardless of what all went down with you,me and Jazzlyn I'm glad it happened if only for Jazzlyn to get away from your ass. That's why she's in love and happy right now with someone else, so much so your own brother is over there right now at a dinner party meeting her new man!   Trevonne sat on the couch and burst into tears. How could I have ever thought anything good was going to come of Darien ? My God what have I done ? I've totally messed up my friendship and for what? Trevonne thought to herself tears streaming down her face. Trevonne picked up the phone and dialed the one person she hoped she could talk to...for once in her life.

  Do Overs

  Everyone was sitting around laughing and talking when Jevon noticed Sherica get up and walk into the kitchen. Her ass is too fine for me not to try and talk to her. I don't give a damn if I did cut her off in the parking lot! Jevon thought to himself fol owing her into the kitchen.
