Tyson blessed the table and they began talking.

" So baby tel me what's going on at that job? " Renee said.

" Mama you already know what it is. Same old mess. You know when I go anywhere, I always have my guard up trying to make sure I feel good about who I'm going to let in my circle ...plus you know your son is easy on the eyes. " Tyson said laughing " So the women on the job are always trying to find out about me and make assumptions about what I like...I ain’t gonna lie though it's good on my lunch budget!" Tyson said laughing."

Tyson we're going to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Since you can't leave want me to bring you something back? My treat!" Tyson said mocking his female co-workers.

Renee joined her son laughing and said"Now baby I've always told you, to stop taking on more than you need to. You stay on the defensive when you shouldn't. Know and be true to yourself. Like your daddy and I always taught you and your sisters. People will show you who they are instead of you waiting for people to disappoint you. " Renee said.

" Mama, sometimes you don't understand some of the B.S. I go through, you real y don't." Tyson said.

You see my mom didn't ful y understand where I was was coming from sometimes.

From the outside looking in people think I'm I total package. I ain’t gonna lie either. I kinda am. 6 ft 6 220 lbs of pure muscle. Dark brown hair nicely faded ( because I damn near keep my barber on retainer) and some of the greenest eyes you've ever seen.

Courtesy of my mom. I graduated with a Masters degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. With the encouragement of my mother and the guidance of my father who passed away four years ago I'm ful y confident in the man I am. I grew up in a supportive family who I love dearly. Though as I looked in my mothers beautiful, kind brown eyes.....I said to myself... she has no idea what type of bullshit I go through on the daily!

You see I'm Caucasian, but my family is African-American.

My birth mother was killed in a car accident when I was three years old. The day my birth mom Tanya was kil ed my parents stepped in and never missed a beat at loving me fully as their son. My birth mother knew my biological father wasn't about shit a year after I was born and her and my Mama were best friends. As close as sisters. So way before the car accident, provisions had been made for me in the event something were to ever happen to her. I'm talking an iron clad will and custody agreement concerning me. Both of my moms met in high school. Went to col ege together and both graduated with teaching degrees. From what I was told my mom never had it easy anyway, so there was no reliable family to take care of me in the event something were to happen to her. My birth mom didn't want me being raised by them anyway. She did have two sisters though, but they were no position to help themselves let alone take on me in the event of an emergency. My Mama being the woman she is,has always made sure I had contact with them through the years. I'm actually pretty cool with a couple of my cousins from my birth moms side of the family. I love my birth mother with al my heart for making sure I was taken care of, and would be loved should anything happen to her.

Unfortunately it did. So when she passed, I went to live with who I had up until then I had called my "TeeTee and Unk” Which later evolved to Mama and Daddy.

Mama didn't understand going to school with people and never knowing what type of slick shit might come out of their mouths at any moment. I mean she could relate a little from growing up and her best friend being white. By no means would I ever compare the racism African-Americans go through on the daily with the incidents I've had .But it damn sure ain’t the same as being one race and your family being another. Even when you do see families like ours it's usually black kids with white parents. It ain’t never been an issue with my African-American friends, they already knew the deal. Plus we have a huge family, so a lot of times during school when I was younger, I was in school and classes with cousins and friends of the family anyway. Hell the trouble always came with the white people. Imagine meeting a guy when I was younger and in school, thinking he was cool until he finally showed his true colors and made a racist comment ? Or we were at the mal and an black girl walked by and something racist and sexist popped out of their damn mouth, not knowing that granted she didn't give birth to me...but trust and believe I do have a African-American mother at home .I wasn't having that shit at all. So then came the fights.

I learned a long time ago to hold off on counting any white people as really good friends until I could determine where their head was at. Same goes with dating. More than a few white women have gotten their feelings hurt and dumped simply by running their mouth before they had the pleasure of meeting my family. Let me be on a bul shit tip when it happened and I may lay a mean sex session on her ass before I dumped her

.Black women have messed up with me too, making assumptions on who and what I like. I'll remind them in a minute as well that a beautiful white woman gave birth to me.

Even though a beautiful black woman raised me. It's crazy how so many women get caught up in stereotypes. It's not always men. My favorite thing to let them all know about me is that I'm a man first. Period. So while yes I'm a good guy, when need be I have some player ass ways as well and I don't like to be fucked with. But I try to keep it at a minimum and remember the good home training I have.

  Best Friends Forever

"Girl where your ass been? " Trevonne said as I walked toward our favorite table at Cool Beans our favorite coffee bar. "I saw I missed your call and by the time I was able to call you back, I could never get a hold of you and damn that was Friday. Boo-Boo it's Tuesday now so what's going on? "Trevonne said.

" Girl there was a bit of drama on Friday when I first called you but when you didn't pick up. I went ahead and decided to just have a weekend completely to myself.

Pamper myself and the whole nine yards .I called my parents and let them know I was going to be incognegro and I was out!" Jazzlyn said.

"Well girl you look good but what happened in the first place?" Trevonne asked knowing damn well she already knew the reason that Jazzlyn had been trying to reach her.

" Girl the same old mess with Darien. Long story short, since I just had a nice relaxing weekend that I refuse to mess up by speaking on bullshit ,is that we broke up. For good this time and I mean it."Jazzlyn said.

" Oh girl please! How many times have I heard you say that in the last four years you two have been together. Y'all will be booed up again by this Friday!"Trevonne laughed.

" No Tre I'm serious this time. Really. I know we've done the whole back and forth thing at times but I'm tired of that. Among other things. I had just come from the grocery store, car ful of groceries I spent my hard earned money on for the weekend he

promised we'd spend together and I had to beg him to bring them in the damn house?

What kind of shit is that?” Jazzlyn asked getting angry just thinking about it.” Tre he wasn't going to make a move until he was ready because the game was on .It didn't matter all the effort and money I'd just paid to make sure we had a nice weekend and cook al his favorite meals. But it's always like that. Me doing everything to make the relationship go smoothly." Jazzlyn said.

" Girl please! I aint gonna let something as sil y as groceries make me lose my good man!” Trevonne said cutting her eyes at Jazzlyn."Hell he went and got them didn't he?"

  Trevonne asked.

" Ummm NO! Hell I went down to get them myself. Lucky for me my neighbor with his fine, fine ass was right there and helped me bring everything on up." Jazzlyn said.

" Fine huh?" Trevonne said "Girl I don't mean no harm, but you had fine and you threw him away behind some grocery bags! Ain’t too many brothas out here finer than Darien!"Trevonne said with conviction.

" Oh he ain't a brotha. He's a white dude. A fine ass white dude at that! I mean if I went that way, I'd be knocking on his damn door with a welcome to the ParkCrest View complex cake!" Jazzlyn said and they both burst out laughing. "Girl hush these folks are looking at us!" Tr
evonne said still giggling as she looked around the cafe'.

" No seriously Tre. Everyone has another side to them .I'm not saying I'm perfect by any means, but so many people think just because Darien is fine I should put up with his mess...hell I'm fine too. I deserve to be treated well and I've never asked Darien for anything I wasn't willing to give. It just seems like the down times were out weighing the good. Four years into this and I can't honestly say where we were headed. Then when I would ask him point blank, he'd try and act like I'm pressuring him. I just feel like if the love was real y there,he'd be able to answer me without feeling pressured. Truth be told I don't even know if he's been completely faithful to me during our relationship." Jazzlyn said.

" Why do you think think that ?" Trevonne said quietly "You found something?"

" No girl, I never caught him doing anything, but al the late nights staying out? Never even really inviting me along anymore? That mess is for the damn birds." Jazzlyn sighed." I mean I will say this, I know the love is there. I also know if I hadn't ended things,Darien wasn't going anywhere. Deep feelings are there. When it's good it's good.

Darien always tells me no other women compares to me and that I'm the total package.

He even had the nerve to say that after he got with me any other women would only be fuck status because he had found it all in me. A total package." Jazzlyn said as her voice started to crack, “but I'll never understand how he can say all that and treated our relationship the way he did.” Jazzlyn said regaining her composure. That's a done chapter in my life she silently said to herself.

  Neighbors and Friends

" Dang! Is this some type of set up?" Tyson said as he hopped out of his car and once again saw Jazzlyn grabbing a load of groceries. It had been three months since he'd bumped into Jazzlyn. Only really seeing her occasionally coming and going. Jazzlyn who was leaning into her trunk picking up her bags looked up and totally took in the sight before her, expensive shoes about a size 12, dress slacks and a pin stripped shirt covering broad shoulders until she was looking dead into Tyson’s sexy face and beautiful green eyes. Damn! Jazzlyn said to herself I didn't notice he has a dimple too...in his cheek and a slight one in his chin. “ Hi Tyson." Jazzlyn said as she smiled.

"Oh damn ! You remembered my name? I guess I had to put in some work and prove myself before we got on a first name basis huh?" Tyson said."If so, I'm glad we went ahead and got that out of the way then." Tyson said and they both started laughing.

"Thanks so much for helping me bring those bags in that day. When I came back out to carry them in I was already in a bad mood. So it was real y nice to know there are gentlemen stil left." Jazzlyn said.

" It was my pleasure " Tyson said smiling "I'm always happy to help a beautiful woman out." Tyson said.

" Oh so you mean if you thought I was ugly you would have made me carry them al by myself?" Jazzlyn asked.

" Yeah. Pretty much." Tyson said with a straight face.

" No you didn't !" Jazzlyn said laughing.

" No, on the real I would have helped any young lady out here struggling to carry a mil ion bags. My mother did give me a some home training." Tyson said smiling.

They walked in the building making small talk and found out a few things about one another."You look really nice. I take it you just got off work?"

"Yea, crazy day" Tyson said."I'm one of the new lead accountants at that new firm downtown,"Lawrence,Wheeler and Roe" have you heard of it?" Tyson asked.

" I'm sorry I haven't." Jazzlyn said." I wont even lie to you Tyson, I hate math!"

Jazzlyn said laughing. " The only thing I want to know with math is how to keep my check book balanced. I do have a personal accountant to help me make the most of my money , I don't have to deal with that too much my dad helped me get it all set up."Jazzlyn said.

" Oh I understand." Tyson said laughing "Out of all my friends I'm the numbers guy.

No one else has an interest in the field at all but I'm good at it. It comes easy to me,natural. So when I had to pick my major I was like why not choose something I'm naturally good at you know. What do you do?"Tyson asked.

"I'm a teacher. Jr. High. " Jazzlyn said with her voice ful of pride.

" Oh real y? I love teachers." Tyson said smiling "My mom is a teacher. I knew there was something special about you." Tyson said. As they approached Jazzlyns door,Tyson asked "Do you want me to leave these right here like last time?"

" Oh no you can come in real fast. You're so helpful I'm going to take full advantage of you! You can walk them all the way to the counter Mr. Helpful." Jazzlyn said.

"Are you sure?" Tyson asked," I mean I'm not trying to be all in my neighbors business but I have seen this one guy coming and going from your place and I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea or anything. You know people love to talk. I'm not trying to get the ParkCrest View rumor mill started or anything." Tyson said.

"Oh no!" Jazzlyn said "Don't worry about him. The week when you helped me with my groceries,we broke up. For good." Jazzlyn said " So absolutely no worries about my deranged boyfriend busting down the door" she laughed.

Tyson walked into Jazzlyns place and immediately noticed how warm and inviting it was. Chocolate brown leather couches accented with cream and a deep blue shade."

You have a nice place Jazzlyn."Tyson said.

“ Oh thanks Tyson, it took me a minute to get everything exactly how I wanted it but I'm pretty happy with it for now...you know us women are never satisfied with our decorating .So I'll add to it I'm sure. Jazzlyn said smiling.

" Wel I may need to get you to help me with my decorating...I mean in exchange for my grocery carrying services.” Tyson said laughing." I've been in my place four months and it pretty much looks like it did a week after I moved in. I real y didn't have any down time before I started my new job and my mom has been trying her best to get over here and do it but I refuse...she'd have way too much stuff in there and I like nice, clean and simple.

Anyways Ms. Jazzlyn,I'm glad I could help you out again. It was my pleasure. I'm going to go ahead and get out of your way now." Tyson said.

" Thanks so much for helping me Tyson, I really appreciate it. I just may pay you back with my decorating skil s." Jazzlyn said and she walked Tyson to the door.

" Sounds good, you take care." Tyson looked back and said as he walked up the hall to his apartment.

  Home......Again

Darien rol ed over in the bed trying to get comfortable but it was a bit hard to do in the twin bed at his mothers house. He once asked his mom why she still had the twin bed instead of getting something larger and more comfortable. He was promptly told " Why would I do that? The only guests I'd have is you or your brother trying to move back in here because you're not handling your responsibilities on your own! You're my child and I'll never see you homeless, but I'm damn sure not going to make it easy for you to be here." Darien knew a long time ago he could never really come back home. His mom was tough and put her foot in her two boys tail on the regular, but she loved them and her tough love always kept him and his brother Trenton out of trouble.

Man, I really need to get on this whole job search bullshit he thought. Darien wasn't having very good luck with landing a decent job in the last year. At least that's how he liked to explain it. He had a degree in social work but hated it . Who wants to go back to school for something else? Darien said to himself when he actual y was attempting to find a new job. Though if he was honest, he hadn't really been trying. Hell I'm going to ride this unemployment thing out until I have to get something. Darien thought to himself as he jumped up to get in the shower. What the hell is taking Jazz so long to get in touch with me? Darien thought. Any other time we had it out she would have already cal ed! Me not jumping up to bring in those damn groceries was not that damn serious for her to be taking this long. When I see Trevonnes simple minded ass I'm going to pick her brain and find out what the hell is going on .It was three months to the day he and Jazzlyn broke up. To be
honest he was shocked. This separation between them was going on way too long. Any other time they had it out he'd give her a few days to miss him then call and they'd be cool. Having been with Jazzlyn the last four years he'd been pretty good at getting back into her good graces and making things right. Shit I've been cal ing for three months and when she does speak to me she aint giving me no way to get back in .I drop by she wont let me in? Could she be fuckin with another dude? He thought and quickly dismissed that idea. My Jazz don't get down like that I know for a fact. Hell I'm the only man she's ever laid down with. Four years worth of loving me as hard as I know she has, aint going away in three months. I know she loves me. Darien thought as he lathered up his body and ran through his plans for the day. Eat,hooping with Rico, fucking Trevonne later on and hitting up the club tonight.

  Dirty Love

"Ahhhh baby, that feels good! You like how this dick taste don't you girl?" Darien said as I slowly licked his balls and let my tongue lick up the entire underside of his long, thick dick. When I got to the tip of his fat dick I couldn't seem to live without, I took the pretty head of his dick and started to deep throat like a pro. I knew exactly how Darien loved his dick sucked. It was the real y the only time I felt like I held the upper hand in our relationship. So I made sure to give it to him as much as I could so he wouldn't forget exactly who was making him feel this good ! I wish he would return the favor sometimes but he never does. I put my mind back to the task at hand just as Darien was exploding in my mouth.

"Damn girl don't nobody suck a dick like you! You need to give lessons on that shit you do right there." Darien said breathing heavily and positioning himself at the head of my bed. Totally naked and his chocolate skin gleaming with perspiration from our latest sex session.

"Thank you baby. I really wish I knew how you were in that department. When are you going to show me what your tongue is working with ?" Trevonne said playfully.

" Girl please I do it,but not to just anyone. I mean I aint knocking your slob game. You did it al on your own from the jump! I never asked you...so I figured you just like sucking dick. Some women do."Darien said leaning back and relaxing on Trevonnes bed.
